We are The Beach City Sound Club, a smooth jazz and R & B band founded more than 10 years ago by David Guinn, Veteran Bassman, Songwriter & Producer.

Guinn says he formed the band in SoCal’s, Ventura County because of the area’s big appetite for “chilln”” to smooth easy-listening sounds up against the backdrop of beautiful California skies, topography and cool ocean breezes. All that AND the folks are plainly and simply “cool”.

The group’s repertoire mixes it up with jazz favorites, classic tunes from the 60s & 70s, and a few current releases (click on page links to look and listen).

The band features “Sista Freda”, a talented vocalist who’d never considered music as a profession until meeting up with Guinn who proved he had a thing or two to teach about “the biz”. He’d traveled the world in bands and graced stages with many of the industries “who’s who”.
